Description |
Three female figures representing Aglaia, Euphrosene and Thalia stand
around a fountain jet as if washing. One figure stands on one leg
holding her proper right foot with her proper left hand. Another
figure has her proper left elbow aloft with her proper left hand
behind her neck and her proper right hand resting on the figure next
to her. The third figure stands with her proper left arm bent at the
elbow, proper left hand on her shoulder, and proper right arm at her
side. Inscription on nearby plaque reads: "The Three Graces fountain
sculpture by Charles Cary Rumsey 1879-1922. Donated 1987 by the Rumsey
and Goodyear families and the patrons of Forest Lawn Cemetery."
