Description
The plaque is mounted to an oblong granite boulder. The inscription on the plaque reads: "In the Pan-American Temple of Music which covered this spot President McKinley was fatally shot Sept. 4, 1901. This marker placed by the Buffalo Historical Society."

President William McKinley was greeting visitors to the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo when he was fatally wounded by the bullet of assassin Leon Czolgosz.
