Description
This plaque contains images-in-relief of a steamboat and a man at the wheel of a steamboat. The inscription on the plaque reads: "The Buffalo-Dortmund Sister City Committee Honors the Legend of John Maynard [followed by a long poem]." The inscription at the bottom of the plaque reads: "SUNY at Buffalo Casting Institute - Designer: Erica L. Dodres, Relief Sculptures: Jeff Slomba. September 27, 1997"
