City Splash Pads Open Up Across Buffalo

Mayor Brown announces that nine splash pads throughout the city will open this weekend

May 27, 2016 - Mother Nature is turning up the heat this Memorial Day Weekend and in anticipation of the high temperatures Mayor Byron W. Brown and the City of Buffalo announced today the opening of nine splash pads throughout the city this weekend.

“I am pleased that nine splash pads will open for the holiday weekend - one month earlier than the scheduled July 1st opening date,” said Mayor Brown. “It is important for residents, particularly our youth, to have places to cool off during this hot spell.”

Depending on the weather, the following nine splash pads will be open ‘weekends only’ through June.  (Beginning June 27th, the splash pads will be operational 7 days a week through Labor Day. Outdoor pools open on July 1, 2016.)
