William K's Opens On The Waterfront

William K’s opens on New Year’s Eve; $900,000 improvement project includes a new dining space with an incredible waterfront view and is designed to accommodate year-round use

December 30, 2015 – With the start of the New Year right around the corner, Mayor Byron Brown and representatives from Molly's World Inc., the proprietors of The Hatch, celebrated the completion of a new year-round restaurant at Erie Basin Marina.  William K’s, part of a $900,000 Phase II project, opens on December 31, 2015 and is a new addition to the building that continues to house The Hatch.

“It’s great to see continued transformation and investment along the downtown waterfront and William K’s pairs an incredible view with seasonally-driven menu,” said Mayor Brown.  “My administration continues to make major investments at Erie Basin Marina because we know city residents and visitors want more year-round access to Buffalo’s beautiful waterfront, a premier downtown and regional attraction that’s filled with the potential for even more economic growth.  William K’s will greatly enhance the experience of city residents and visitors who continue to make Erie Basin Marina one of their favorite destinations.”

The city invested $900,000 to create this first of its kind dining space at Erie Basin Marina.  William K’s offers a 64-seat capacity with more seating along the bar.  The project also included a new full service kitchen, concrete patio and fire pit.

This latest project is part of a $3.7 million investment made by the Brown Administration at Erie Basin Marina since 2006.  Other recently completed projects include: a $640,000 Ice Cream Stand & Clam Bar, $1.1 million for a new boardwalk, handicap accessible restrooms and new security gates for boaters.
