As part of National Women’s History Month, Mayor Brown recognized the Western New York Women’s Foundation and 10 local women for their contributions to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

March 22, 2013 – In honor of Women’s History Month, March 2013, Mayor Byron Brown and the City of Buffalo Commission on Citizens’ Rights & Community Relations today recognized the WNY Women’s Foundation and ten local women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers.
“I’m proud to dedicate a month to honoring and studying the rich legacy of women’s contributions to the City of Buffalo, our nation and the world,” said Mayor Brown.  “The lessons of Women’s History Month will help prepare our youngest women, especially those interested in pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, to make their own historic contributions in the years to come.”
