Take a short 20-minute drive from downtown Buffalo and you’ll find Frederick Law Olmsted’s lush, beautiful and natural Niagara Falls State Park. Then join the crew on the Maid of the Mist to experience the power of Niagara Falls. The boat will take you to the base of the Horseshoe Falls where you can feel the rush of the water as it pounds the rocks below. Looking for a way to cool down on a hot summer day? The Cave of the Winds is the ultimate run-through-the-sprinkler. You'll get up-close-and-personal with the roaring waters, as they pour over the precipice of the Bridal Veil Falls. The Niagara Falls area offers many ways to experience one of the world’s wonders, including helicopter rides, observation decks and towering vantage points, giving visitors a bird’s eye view of one of nature’s masterpieces. After your day at the falls, head north on the Robert Moses Parkway toward Youngstown and Old Fort Niagara. Stop at the Niagara Power Vista, Artpark or Whirlpool State Park to view the beautiful Niagara Gorge. |
