Wear Red Day Press Conference Mayor Brown will deliver a proclamation naming February 5th “Wear Red Day in Buffalo.” Also joining the mayor will be cardiologist and Go Red for Women chair, Dr. Margaret Paroski; Greatbatch CEO, Tom Hook; and local survivor, Kelly Rummings. This year Niagara Falls has further proven its commitment to raising the awareness of heart disease in women by temporarily suspending its special lighting for the Olympics to light red for Wear Red Day. The Falls will light red at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. EST on February 5th. The City Hall media event will also announce Greatbatch as the American Heart Association’s Hero of the Heart winner for 2010. The award will be officially presented at the annual Heart Ball the following night. Other highlights of Wear Red Day and American Heart Month in Western New York include:
