Mayor Brown today announced that the ongoing City Court Order Program, which offers extended payment plans for city homeowners to stop foreclosure, will be extended to tomorrow, Friday, October 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Conducted jointly by the Departments of Law and Assessment and Taxation, the Court Order Program has taken place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week at the Erie County Courthouse, 25 Delaware Avenue and will continue tomorrow at the same location. “We know these are difficult times and help is available for property owners experiencing financial hardship; we want to help homeowners in every way possible to meet their obligations and retain their homes,” said Mayor Byron W. Brown. “We are committed to helping city homeowners avoid foreclosure and develop payment plans for anyone who cannot pay the full amount owed. I want to thank Administrative Judge Sharon Townsend and Erie County Judge Michael Pietruszka for supporting the extension of these important services to our residents ” For further information, please contact the Department of Assessment and Taxation at 851-5733, the User Fee Office at 851-5966 or American Water Services at 847-1065 to inquire about a payment plan.
